How to Help
There are many ways in which you can be involved in the ministries of Prison Fellowship Victoria:
Volunteering – These include:

Visiting Prisoners – providing friendship to inmates through one on one visiting, leading Bible studies, running hobbies programs, or just being someone from the “outside” with whom inmates can talk.

Lives in Transition – becoming a course facilitator for inmates involved in the faith-based pre-release program

Mentoring – acting as a mentor for prisoners as they graduate from the Lives in Transition program and are released into the community

Letter Writing – writing to prisoners and ex-prisoners offering friendship, support and encouragement

Bus Driving – (Geelong area) driving the shuttle bus at weekends to transport families and friends between North Geelong station and Barwon and Marngoneet prisons

Visit Centre Host – supporting families visiting Barwon prison at the weekends by being available to them as they wait in the Visit Centre

Family Support – assisting the families of inmates to cope in the absence of their loved ones

Church Representative – being an information channel for your church community

Prayer Partner – committing to pray for the ministry regularly for the ministries and those to whom we minister

Biscuit Baking – bake and/or help to pack homemade biscuits just prior to Easter to be given to every prisoner in the State.

Angel Tree – provide new toys for Christmas gifts to prisoners’ children

Wills and Bequests – arrange to leave a legacy that will continue to help PF’s involvement with prisoners.

Kamp for Kids – help finance or volinteer at a camp for the children of prisoners (aged 8-12)
Prayer Support – A regular prayer diary is provided so that prayer partners can uphold Prison Fellowship ministries in a committed, informed way
Financial Support – Undergird the provision of the various ministries of Prison Fellowship through financial support
